Sandra Knopp has been a member of Christ Lutheran Church since 1975 after confirming her baptism at Dr. Martin Lutheran Church in the city of Chicago.  Sandra is a graduate of Amos Alonzo Stagg High School and St. Xavier College.  She worked for Palos Community Hospital for 15 years.  Sandra served proudly at Christ Lutheran Church as the Director of the Youth and Cherub choirs in 1988 and became the Director of Music in 1999.  Her goal is to engage the congregation in worship with praise and song.  Sandra’s love for music has ventured into other hobbies such as a private teacher for piano and voice,  performing in cover bands, wedding bands, soloing at restaurant establishments and Country Clubs.

Outside of music, Sandra and her husband Brian love to enjoy the beaches of Anna Maria Island Florida, gardening, antiquing, and boating.    Sandra has 3 grown children along with 3 grandchildren.   Sandra is proud to call Christ Lutheran her parish and home.

Julie Jancik, Office Manager, has been on staff since 1997.  She grew up in the Oak Lawn area and is a graduate of Harold L. Richards High School and Concordia College in River Forest.  Julie was baptized, confirmed and married at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Oak Lawn.  She and her husband Carl transferred from St. Paul to Christ Lutheran in April of 1988.  They have two grown children, Samantha and Jason, and reside in Homer Glen.  Julie and Carl have a second home in Michigan and enjoy spending time there in winter, spring, summer and especially fall.

Jamie Deckinga, Church Secretary, has worked at Christ Lutheran since September, 2008.  Before joining us here, Jamie was a stay-at-home mom for 15 years, returning to work in 2004 at an MRI facility in Palos Heights.  Through a series of events that she explains as “God moments,” Jamie left her job in Palos and began working at Christ.  “Best decision of my life.”

Jamie and her husband Ken are members of Orland Park Christian Reformed Church.  They have two children, Kayli and Nathan.  In her free time, Jamie enjoys scrapbooking and spending (a LOT of) time at the baseball field with her son.
