The first and only rule of Men’s Bible Study is, what is said at Men’s Bible Study stays in Men’s Bible Study! We meet every other Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. in the fellowship hall under the sanctuary. All men 12- 100 years of age are invited. The meetings end in plenty of time to get back home and take care of the “honey do” list we all have. Each session starts with 30 minutes to eat a light breakfast that consists of toast, coffee cake, coffee, juice, bananas, and hard boiled eggs. We also use this time to discuss the Bears, Cubs, Bulls, Hawks, Sox of the news of the day. When new studies are started we have a “Big Breakfast”, egg strata, hash browns, sausage and toast.

The men of Christ Lutheran Church study many different areas of faith. Books of the Bible like Revelations or Mark, theme based studies like Leadership, Love, and Men of Faith in the bible are typical subjects. The studies can last as short as one meeting or take as long as 25 meetings. We also study current books about our Christian faith. Most of the studies are based on Missouri Synod Lutheran theology but this is not a requirement.

No special knowledge of Lutheran theology or the Bible is required to attend.  You do not even have to be a member of our congregation to join us. We welcome all that would like to attend and you can participate at your own level of comfort. Reading or sharing your views is up to you. We have a very friendly group, and as one member has said after  your second visit it will be like the line from Cheers, “where everybody knows your name and we’re always glad you came.” This group is just a great collection of outstanding Christian men.

Men’s Bible Study sponsors the bi-yearly Have a Heart Spagheti Dinner. We also actively support with treasure, time and talents many of the other minstries at Christ Lutheran, i.e., OWLS, VOYAGERS, and the Haiti Mission team.
