Ladies Aid Society/Lutheran Women's Missionary League

Christ Lutheran’s unit of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) is part of a nationwide organization that exists to develop and maintain mission consciousness among the women of the synod. The LWML is divided into districts and zones which select mission projects to support at their biennial conventions. Funds to support these mission projects are gained by the pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters (mites) that are placed in Mite Boxes and collected several times a year here at church.

Our local unit operates in conjunction with the Ladies Aid Society, and meetings are held at the same time as the Ladies Aid Society meetings. Our zone holds an annual Spring Rally and a Fall Workshop in member churches to encourage and promote mission work and friendships among Lutheran women. There is always a need for new members interested in promoting missions and mission work.

The Ladies Aid Society holds bake sales, sponsors the Mother-Daughter Banquet, and supports a child through the Christian Children’s Fund.

Meeting are held the first Monday of every month except January, February, July and August, at 7:00 p.m. All the ladies of the congregation are invited to join our group.
